El Mesón de la Flota Hotel

Like 18th and 19th-century inns, the one in the Historic Center brings to mind those meeting places for sailors who travelled on board the Galleons’ Fleet, during their stay in the Havana port. Located on Mercaderes street, this small hotel recalls the ambience of a city that revealed itself as a transit seaport. In an atmosphere surrounded by sea air, the Mesón has five comfortable guestrooms, an old Spanish tavern-style restaurant, serving tapas and select wines, and offers a flamenco show to make Havana nights more enjoyable.

El Mesón de la Flota (The Navy’s Inn) announces itself by the sound of flamenco music, usually mixed with the hustle and bustle of Mercaderes street and the Old Square. The Chocolate Museum is very near and passers-by are infected by its unique and delicious smell. On the other corner, the National Museum of Cuban Contemporary Ceramics invites visitors to learn about the evolution of this art form in Cuba. On the other side, Café Taberna offers Cuban and international dishes accompanied by traditional live music.
