Dos Hermanos Restaurant

Regarded as one of the most famous restaurants in town, the old Los Dos Hermanos (The Two Brothers) restaurant used to be a place serving shellfish, fish, stews and good wine. Visiting celebrities, such as dancer Isadora Duncan in the winter of 1916, have enjoyed eating in this charming spot. Dos Hermanos Bar is located in Havana port area where it benefits from the Historic Centre restoration work. Not far from the Russian Orthodox Church and Armadores de Santander Hotel, this establishment is a starting point for those who choose to walk along Alameda de Paula (a tree-lined avenue) or have a look at Cuban handicrafts at Centro Cultural Antiguos Almacenes de Depósito San José (an indoor craft market).

Facing the Havana sea, this building has been refurbished several times over the years. The terrace was improved and it now has a superb canopy providing shade and protection from the rain. Likewise, the property has been separated from adjoining roofs and the interior walls were upholstered. At present, the rooftop terrace is only used as covering of the building.
The bar, with a small kitchen, offers a choice of sandwiches, including, among others, ham and cheese, Dos Hermanos sandwich and a tomato, onion, garlic and cheese sandwich, starters such as the Cuban stew, a malanga cream and chicken, tuna and shellfish salads, as well as a combination of chicken, pork, ham, shrimp, lobster, fish and loin. The rice of the day and home-made desserts or ice cream complete the offerings, also including a selection of drinks.
