Europa Restaurant

Walking along Obispo Street all the way down to the Port Avenue, at one of the corners of this important shopping street, there is a building that visitors will find remarkable because of its gracious design. With a history drawing sustenance from the art of good eating and inspiring poems such as In the Café Europa, by US poet and Hispanist Thomas Walsh, the Europa is noted for its delicious and exotic flavor combinations. The menu, with the house hallmark, includes a choice of dishes and desserts, drinks, wine selections and a children’s menu.
Among the restaurant’s chief culinary creations, there are over sixteen unique sauces and the popular frituras de malanga (fried food made of malanga, a tropical root vegetable) that go with onion marmalade; grandma’s soup made of natural ingredients; rice and chicken in the Europa style; and a skewer of chicken and shrimps coated with caramel made of a honey, rosemary and balsamic vinegar blend.
Between pleasure and tradition, the corner of Obispo and Aguiar is once again a place of reference for those who enjoy good eating. Surrounded by the atmosphere of one of the city’s main shopping streets, the Europa is located near other businesses and Florida Hotel.
